ALEXANDRIA, LA – Haley Fontenot of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria softball team ahs been named the Red River Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week for the second time this season.
 
The senior from Morgan City, Louisiana drove in a at least one run in three of the LSUA's games against Southwest (N.M.) this past weekend. Fontenot also recorded at least one hit in each game, going 3-for-3 in two games, and swiped six bases. She finished the weekend hitting 8-for-11 with five runs batted in, six runs scored, and six stolen bases.
 
Fontenot was previously named the RRAC Softball Player of the Week on February 1. She was named the NAIA Softball Player of the Week the next day.
