ALEXANDRIA, LA -- Carter Fabre of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team has been named the Red River Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced.

Fabre tossed six innings of shutout baseball in the Generals' season opener. He allowed just one hit and struck out five. Fabre forced seven ground outs and earned his first win of the season.

The Generals host John Melvin University this week.
