Baseball Falls to John Melvin in Series Finale

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team fell to John Melvin University in the series finale 14-2.
 
Fisher Einkauf recorded two of the Generals' (3-4) three hits, and drove in both runs. Landon Langley and Cade LaBruyere both scored a run. Charlie Guidry (0-2) was charged with the loss and allowed four earned runs.
 
Colt Lejuene allowed just two runs on two hits over six innings for JMU.
 
The Millers combined for 16 hits. They scored in five of the seven innings, putting up crooked numbers in four.
 
John Melvin opened the game scoring six runs in the first frame with four run-scoring hits. They added one run in the second and two runs in both third and the fourth.
 
Zac Collins and Corbyn Womack combined to keep the Millers off the board in the fifth and sixth in two innings of scoreless relief.
 
The Generals head to the Cajun Collision in Sterlington, Louisiana for four games next week.
