PREVIEW | Women's Basketball Hosts TAMUSA, OLLU in Final Regular Season Home Games

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's basketball team hosts Texas A&M-San Antonio and Our Lady of the Lake University in a pair of Red River Athletic Conference games.

THE GENERALS
LSUA is coming off a pair of wins last week against Texas College and Jarvis Christian. The Generals are 11-12 overall and 10-8 in RRAC play. They are currently sixth in the RRAC standings, a game behind Xavier (La.).
 
Sydney Person was named the RRAC Offensive Player of the Week after recording 20+ points in both games last week. The freshman is averaging 14 points per game and shooting 49.8-percent from the field.
 
The Generals average 67.43 points per game and are shooting 41.7-percent as a unit.
 
SCOUTING TAMUSA
The Jaguars are 18-6 overall and 15-3 in RRAC play. They are 8-4 on the road. TAMUSA lost its last outing to North American University, 79-68. The Jaguars are currently second in the RRAC standings and are three games behind LSU Shreveport.
 
Evelyn Lorenzo leads the Jaguars in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game. She is shooting 36.3-percent from the field. Kierra Sanderlin (9.6) and Aniyah Lewis (9.0) are both averaging nine or more points per game, rounding out the top scorers for TAMUSA.
 
The Jaguars average 73.0 points per game and are shooting 38.3-percent as a unit. TAMUSA is allowing 63.5 points per game and holding opponents to a field goal percentage of 35.3.
 
LSUA is 1-2 against TAMUSA all-time and 0-1 this season.
 
SCOUTING OLLU
The Saints enter the week with a 9-15 record overall and an 8-10 mark in conference play. They are 4-8 on the road and last their last outing to Xavier (La.), 57-52. OLLU is currently seventh in the RRAC standings.
 
Shayla Dede leads the Saints in scoring, averaging 12.6 points per game. Alexandra Westerdijk Martin (11.9) and Macie Moss (10.0) are also averaging double-digit scoring efforts. Westerdijk Martin is leads OLLU from the field, knocking down 50.9-percent of her shots.

The Saints average 60.5 points per game and are shooting 38.1-percent from the field. They have hold opponents to 62.5 points per game and a field goal percentage of 37.5.
 
LSUA is 8-13 all-time against the Saints. They have won the last seven meetings and are 4-5 when playing at The Fort.
