ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's soccer team is excited to announce the addition of 18 players for the 2025 season.

"We're very excited about our incoming recruitment class," LSUA Head Coach Mark Hammond said. "Coach Bailey and I identified key areas of the squad that needed reinforcement as we lost some key players last season. I think we have filled the gaps in our squad with experience & youth. This incoming recruitment class has a nice balance of transfers and freshmen. We will look a little different than last season's squad, but I am positive that this incoming recruitment class will bring the same drive and high standards that we have set over the past few seasons."

Calyn Mangum is a 5-foot-5 defender from Alexandria. She joins the Generals from Alexandria Senior High School. Mangum earned a pair of First Team All-District honors, All-District Defensive MVP, and two All-Cenla Defensive MVPs during her time at ASH. She is a member of Louisiana Krewe Rush 06G AEX. Academically, Mangum was an A-Honor Roll student all four years at ASH and a member of the Academic All-State Composite Soccer Team.

"I chose LSUA because, being from Alexandria, I wanted to continue my education in which I was raised," Mangum said. "Being offered a spot on the Generals soccer team further solidified my decision to attend LSUA."

Abril Cobos is a 5-foot-1 midfielder from Getafe, Spain. She joins LSUA from IES Menendez Pelayo.

"My decision to come to LSUA was based on the confidence that Coach Mark Hammond and the University have shown in me in counting on me for the next four years," Cobos said. "The facilities, equipment, coaching staff, teammates, and educational and academic levels all meet my expectations."

Ariana Lowenstein is a 5-foot-5 midfielder from Lafayette. She joins the Generals from Teurlings Catholic High School. Lowenstein is a four-year letter winner with 69 goals and 39 assists for Teurlings. She earned four All-District selections and Louisiana All-State Team honors. Lowenstein was named All-District MVP during her senior season and was a four-time All-Metro Team honoree. She is a member of LA Krewe Rush and was selected to the Rush National Team and ODP South Regional Team. A multi-sport athlete, Lowenstein lettered twice in both cross country and track, earning an All-Metro Team selection in cross country.

"I chose LSUA because of its strong sense of family and community," Lowenstein said. "I was especially drawn to the soccer program, and I know it will provide an incredible collegiate experience with a supportive team and coaching staff behind me. LSUA is a place where I can grow, learn, and meet new people, while still staying close enough to visit my family. It truly feels like a home away from home. I'm so excited to see where this journey will take me, and I'm ready to be a General!"

Tatiana Brown is a 5-foot-0 forward from St. Rose, Louisiana, and Destrehan High School. She earned First Team and Honorable Mention All-District honors. Brown is a member of New Orleans DFC.

"I chose LSUA because when I visited, I felt right at home and could see myself being there to continue my soccer career and further my education," Brown said.

Sara Escribano Garcia-Miguel is a 5-foot-7 forward from Carranque, Toledo. She joins LSUA from IES Libertad and was a member of Fuenlabrada Atlantis.

"I chose LSUA because I feel it's a place where I can grow up as a player and also as a person," Escribano Garcia-Miguel said.

Cailyn Bailey is a 5-foot-4 midfielder from Pace, Florida. She joins the Generals from Pace High School and Coastal Rush. She was a four-year member of the varsity soccer team.

"I chose LSUA because I loved the team atmosphere and coaching," Bailey said. "I also loved the competitiveness of the players and coaches, and I am very excited to see where this team goes!"

Linnéa Lundstroem is a 5-foot-4 forward from Norrköping, Sweden. She joins LSUA from De Geer Gymnasiet.  Lundstroem played for Svärtinge SK. She earned first-place finishes in Laxacupen, GIF Cupen, and Eskilstuna Cup. Lundstroem also helped guide her squad to six District Championships.

"I chose LSUA because it seemed like the perfect fit for me, both academically and athletically," Lundstroem said. "My coach made a strong impression with his dedication and support for his players. I'm excited to be part of the team and to grow both on and off the field."

Alley Habetz is a 5-foot-4 midfielder from Ragley, Louisiana. She joins the Generals from South Beauregard High School and Calcasieu Soccer Club. Habetz earned four All-Vernon/Beauregard Parish selections, a pair of First Team All-District honors, and was named to the Freshman All-State team. In her senior year, Habetz was named All-CenLa Offensive MVP.

"I chose LSUA because the atmosphere seems very genuine and supportive," Habetz said. "The campus felt like my home away from home. Both the coaches and all the players seemed very encouraging yet disciplined. I want to attend a college that pushes me to be the best I can be, and LSUA seems like the perfect fit."

Saige Kirkbride is a 5-foot-4 defender from Vancleave, Mississippi. She joins LSUA from East Central Community College. Kirkbride is a product of St. Martin High School and Gulf Coast United. She earned Second Team All-MACCC her sophomore year. She was named Defensive Player of the Year four times in high school.

"I chose LSUA because it offers strong academics with a soccer program that has a great reputation, a supportive coaching staff, and a close team dynamic, giving me the opportunity to grow as both a player and a person," Kirkbride said.

Taylor Carty is a 5-foot-3 forward from Gonzales, Louisiana. She joins the Generals from East Ascension High School and the BRSC Tornadoes. Carty earned four All-District selections, two All-Metro honors, and one All-State selection over her high school career. She set the East Ascension record for single-season goals with 42 during her senior season.

"I chose LSUA because of the environment created by the staff and students," Carty said. "I can see myself learning and growing throughout my time there."

Nelly Dallmann is a 5-foot-5 midfielder from Marschacht, Germany. She joins LSUA from Hawkeye Community College. Dallmann was a Second Team All-Region selection in 2023 before being named First Team All-Region in 2024. She earned four Academic All-Region honors over four semesters. In 2024, Dallmann was named to the All-Tournament Team.

"I chose LSUA because I think it is the best fit for me in regards to continuing my academics and playing soccer on a high level at the same time," Dallmann said. "In addition, the talks with the coaching team encouraged my decision."

Claire Marx is a 5-foot-5 goalkeeper from Denham Springs, Louisiana. She joins the Generals from Denham Springs High School and the PSC High School Girls Showcase Team. Marx was a four-time First Team All-Parish selection and four-time Second Team All-District honoree. She was a 2024 U18 PARDS SC Louisiana President's Cup Champion and regional representative.

"I chose LSUA because my first time visiting the campus, I fell in love and knew immediately it was where I was meant to be," Marx said.

Carolina Anjos Pereira is a 5-foot-2 midfielder from São Paulo, Brazil. She joins the Generals from Agora Sant Cugat International School and Sant Cugat Fútbol Club.

"I chose LSUA for its amazing academic and athletic programs," Anjos Pereira said.

Hannah May is a 5-foot-9 goalkeeper from Gonzales, Louisiana. She joins the Generals from Louisiana State University-Eunice. May is a product of East Ascension High School, LA TDP Elite, and Baton Rouge Soccer Club. She was a four-time First Team All-District and All-Metro selection while at East Ascension.

"I chose LSUA because I loved how welcoming Mark [Hammond] was and enjoyed seeing how much of a family the team is to each other," May said.

Sydney Kirton is a 4-foot-11 forward from Melissa, Texas. She joins LSUA from Melissa High School and Renegades SC. Kirton was a Second Team All-District selection for MHS and earned Honorable Mention Academic All-State honors.

"I chose LSUA because I loved the environment here," Kirton said. "Everyone seems like a big family. I also chose this school because it's almost the middle point between both sides of my family."

Ella Waldron is a 5-foot-5 defender from London, England. She joins the Generals from the University of Montevallo. Waldron is a product of the Teddington School and Watford Women FC. At Montevallo, she was named to the Dean's List twice.

"When looking for a new school or team, I really value the relationship with the coaches," Waldron said. "The coaches at LSUA made me feel welcomed and supported right away."

Yanira Herraez is a 5-foot-4 goalkeeper from Parla, Spain. She joins LSUA from Atletico of Madrid. She helped guide Atletico de Madrid to multiple league championships and earned multiple MVP honors.

"I chose LSUA because they had spoken very well of it, and I think it can be a great university to compete and win soccer championships," Herraez said. "In addition to being a great university academically."

Molly Wain is a 5-foot-7 midfielder from Epping, England. She joins the Generals from Epping St. John's and Writtle College. Wain was the captain of Leyton Orient Women's College team and helped guide her squad to an Essex County Cup win.

"I chose LSUA because as soon as I spoke to Coach Hammond, I knew LSUA was somewhere I wanted to be and develop as a football player."
