ALEXANDRIA, LA – Haley Fontenot and Lainee Bailey of the Louisiana State University of Alexandria softball team have been named the Red River Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, the RRAC announced today.
 
Fontenot compiled an average of .500, two home runs, and six runs batted in over the weekend. Her second home run of the series was an inside the park home run. It is the third time Fontenot has been named the RRAC Player of the Week in 2026.
 
Bailey notched a pair of wins over No. 7 Our Lady of the Lake University, including a complete game in game two. She held the Saints to just four hits and one run. Bailey threw 10 innings on the weekend and allowed just five hits, three runs, and struck out four. This is Bailey's first time being named the RRAC Pitcher of the Week.
 
The Generals travel to Victoria, Texas to play a three-game series against Texas A&M-Victoria.
