LSUA enters the RRAC Championship as the number five seed. The Generals posted a 14-13 record in the regular season and a 13-9 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play.
Sydney Person leads a Generals' offense which averages 68.70 points per game. She is one of two LSUA players averaging 10 or more points per game at 14.2. Person is shooting 47.8-percent from the field and 90-percent at the free throw line. She as recorded seven games of 20 or more points this season.
Justice Young is recording 10.3 points per game and shooting 45-percent. Young is the Generals' leading rebounder, hauling in 7.6 boards per game. She has recorded seven double-doubles.
LSUA split the season series against Xavier (La.) with both the Generals and Gold Nuggets winning in their respective home venues.
In New Orleans, XULA recorded a 69-58 win in January. Person led the Generals with 19 points, while
McKayla Price recorded 13.
Blair Smith added a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. During the second meeting in Alexandria, LSUA notched a 65-60 victory. Person again led the Purple and gold with 16 points, while
Addison Walker recorded 14.
Kelly Norris dished out a team-high seven assists.
The game came down to the final seconds. Young recorded a layup in the lane with under two minutes to play, putting LSUA ahead 59-58. Person then added a layup to make it a three-point differential. After a bucket from Xavier (La.) cut it to 61-60,
Reese Stephens recorded a steal on XULA's final possession to seal the win.
LSUA eliminated XULA in last year's RRAC semifinal before both teams made an appearance in the NAIA postseason.

The Gold Nuggets enter the tournament with an overall record of 18-10 and a 14-8 mark in RRAC play.
XULA is averaging 62.9 points per game and allowing just 56.4, a margin of +6.4. As a team, they are shooting 36.2-percent from the field.
Alicia Blanton has recorded a team-high 11.2 points per game for Xavier (La.). Tiara Tillison finished the regular season second in the RRAC in assists, recording 115. She leads the RRAC with a 2.6 assist to turnover ratio.
The Gold Nuggets boast a conference-high 16.9 offensive rebounds per game and finished second in overall rebounding, hauling in 42.8 board per game and a rebounding margin of +5.6.
