ALEXANDRIA, LA - The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team completed a four-game weekend sweep with wins over Midland (Neb.) and the University of Saint Francis (Ind.)

GAME ONE | MU 3, LSUA 10
Seth Leger (2-0) earned the win for the Generals (10-5) in the opener. He struck out five over 6.1 innings and allowed just three runs on four hits.

LSUA scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead.
Fischer Einkauf drove in the first run with a single down the right-field line, scoring
Trevor Dooley. Later in the inning,
Dalton Wilson recorded a sacrifice fly to bring home Cade LaBruyere.

The Generals added a run in the fourth inning when
Lane Patin singled to left-center field to score
Lane Kratzer and extend the lead to 3-0.

Midland tied the game in the fifth inning with three runs, including a two-run home run, making the score 3–3.
Â
The Generals answered with five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Zack Berry drove in a run with a groundout before
Lane Patin delivered a two-run single to center field bringing in
Joshua Tinnerello and Wilson.
Lane Kratzer scored off of a
Landon Langley single up the middle and Patin touched home after LaBruyere beat out an infield single, giving the Generals an 8-3 advantage.

LSUA added two more runs in the sixth inning.
Shae Thibodeaux stole second base before Wilson stole home on a double steal. L. Kratzer followed with an RBI double to right field to complete the scoring.

GAME ONE | SF 13, LSUA 19
The Generals' offense fired on all cylinders in their final game of the weekend, including drawing a program-high 19 walks.

Saint Francis jumped on the board early, plating four runs in the first inning. LSUA answered right back in the bottom half when Einkauf roped a double into right field to score Langley.

The bats stayed hot in the second inning as LSUA scored six runs. Langley and Dooley each drove in runs before Wilson delivered the big swing, launching a grand slam to right-center to give the Generals a 7-6 lead.

The Cougars scratched across a run in the third to tie the game, but LSUA responded immediately when Dooley reached on an error which allowed two runs to score, and LaBruyere followed with a sacrifice fly to put the Generals back on top, 10-7.

The Generals added separation in the sixth inning. Kratzer knocked in a run with a single to left,
Evan Rohlfs-Schadel brought one home with a sacrifice fly, and Langley capped the inning with an RBI single up the middle to extend the lead to 13-7.

In the seventh, the Cougars gave a push by scoring six runs to tie the game, but the Generals answered again. LSUA loaded the bases, scoring four runs on wild pitches and a fielder's choice to regain control.

The Generals tacked on two more in the eighth when
Blake Moss lined a two-run single up the middle to put the game away.

The Generals travel to Texas A&M-Texarkana for three games next week as they open Red River Athletic Conference play.
