2026 Softball Schedule Announced

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 13 Louisiana State University of Alexandria softball team is excited to announce its 2026 schedule.

"We're extremely excited for the upcoming season," LSUA Head Coach Trent Partridge said. "We made a conscious effort to challenge ourselves by scheduling as many Top 25 opponents as possible. With 18 games against teams ranked or receiving votes, plus a double header against a Division I opponent, this schedule was built with the end goal in mind. If we want to be where we expect to be in May, we have to test ourselves early. Exciting things are ahead."

The Generals finished the 2025 season with a record of 47-9, including a 26-2 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. They made an appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, defeating the University of Tennessee Southern, before being eliminated.

LSUA opens the 2026 season with a pair of tournaments at Ward 9 in Pineville, Louisiana. The first tournament, hosted by Louisiana Christian University, is held on January 30 and January 31. LSUA then heads to the Gulf Shore Invitational from March 6 to March 8. They take on Lindsey Wilson College, No. 7 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 8 Central Methodist, (RV) Cambellsville (Ky.), and No. 19 Southeastern (Fla.).

Cumberlands (Ky.) finished 2025 with a 40-9 record and defeated LSUA 8-0 in last year's Gulf Coast Invitational. The Patriots made an appearance in the NAIA World Series in Columbus, Georgia where they were eliminated by eventual National Champion Southern Oregon.
