ALEXANDRIA, LA – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2026 season.
The Generals aim for a return to the NAIA postseason after facing Milligan University (Tenn.) in the NAIA Opening Round in 2025. LSUA posted a 14-4-1 record last season with a 9-1-1 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. They also finished the season 7-0-1 in the confines of Generals Soccer Field.
"We are excited for another season," LSUA Head Coach Mackenzie Young said. "We get the opportunity to host some nationally ranked programs and have a very strong non-conference slate this year. We believe this will set us up for conference well-tested and ready for when that rolls around. The new additions to the squad will strengthen us in all areas, and we can't wait to have them here in Alexandria to get started."
LSUA recorded ranked wins over then-No. 3 William Carey, 2-1, in their season opener and then-No.22 Xavier University (La.), 2-1, in the regular season finale.
The Generals' 2026 campaign opens with a pair of scrimmages against LSU Eunice and Mississippi College before an exhibition against NCAA DIII Centenary College.
Their regular season opener comes on August 22 at Blue Mountain University in Mississippi. The Generals hosted Blue Mountain University last season and recorded a 4-0 win at home.
