Box Score 2 XAVIER, La.- The No. 16 Alexandria Generals softball picked up a pair of wins on the road against Xavier University, 3-0 and 5-2.

GAME ONE | LSUA 3, XULA 0
LSUA struck first in the opening inning. With the bases loaded,
Julia Kwakernaak hit a sacrifice fly to right field that brought
Sophia Romero home.
Â
Both offenses were quiet until the fifth inning, when the Generals extended their lead.
Haley Fontenot delivered an RBI single to score Romero again, 2-0.

In the seventh,
Kamille Lightfoot came through with an RBI single to plate Ryleigh Morgan, 3-0.

Lainee Bailey put in a dominant performance for the Generals in the circle. She tossed a complete shutout, allowing just five hits while striking out 10 batters over seven innings. She walked two and hit one batter while adding a win to add to her record, 8-2.

GAME TWO | LSUA 5, XULA 2
A trio of home runs powered the Generals to victory in game two of the series.
After falling behind in the first, a solo shot from Bailey tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the second. An inning later, Lightfoot launched a solo blast of her own. Kaetllyn Dunbar then gave LSUA a 4-1 lead with a two-run home run later in the inning.
The Gold Nuggets responded with an RBI single from Amireeya Malveaux in the sixth, cutting the score to 4-2. Lightfoot added an insurance marker for the Generals in the seventh, driving in
Hayden Cary with a bunt single for a 5-2 lead.
Rylee Guillot (4-0) allowed just three hits over seven innings. She allowed just one earned run and struck out four.
