The Generals advanced to the RRAC Championship final with a 77-73 win over Xavier University (La.) in the semifinal.
EJ McQuillan led the Generals (23-7) with 26 points, 10 of which came from the free throw line.
Jordan Decuir recorded 20 points. The pair combined for nearly 60-percent of LSUA's offense.
Despite a closely contested game, the Generals led for 36:30 or 91.3-percent of the game. LSUA's largest lead came five minutes into the second half, an 11-point advantage.
LSUA dropped both end of the season series against LSUS.
The General have won the last two RRAC Championship Finals, both against the University of the Southwest (N.M.)
SCOUTING #1 LSU SHREVEPORT
The Pilots took down Texas A&M-Texarkana, 71-55, in the RRAC Championship semifinal.
Hayden Brittingham and Alexzaye Johnson led LSUS's offense with 18 points and 16 points, respectively. The Pilots held a 49-24 rebounding advantage, including a 17-6 differential in offensive rebounds. LSUS also held the Eagles to a field goal percentage below 40-percent in both halves.
LSU Shreveport was crowned the RRAC Regular Season Champion and Brittingham earned RRAC Player of the Year honors.
The Pilots fell to LSUA in the 2024 RRAC Semifinal, 89-74, the last time the pair met during the RRAC Championship.
