HATTIESBURG, MS – The Louisiana State University of Alexandria baseball team dropped a midweek game to No. 8 William Carey University, 6-0.
The Generals (16-20) managed just three hits.
Blaise Foote (0-1) got the start and went three innings. He allowed just one run on three hits. Foote struck out three and walked one. He forced five groundouts.
The Crusaders (27-7) scattered nine hits and scored in the first, sixth, and eighth innings. They drove in their first run with an RBI double but the bats were kept quiet for the next four innings. WCU recorded a trio of RBI knocks in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead. A wild pitch and a sacrifice fly plated a pair of runs in the seventh.
LSUA returns to Alexandria to host Texas College on Thursday, April 3, at 6:00 p.m.
