PREVIEW | Women's Tennis Takes on Steve Foster Invitational at Texas Wesleyan

ALEXANDRIA, LA – The No. 12 Louisiana State University of Alexandria women's tennis team travels to Texas Wesleyan for the Steve Foster Invitational.
 
The Generals (0-2) play Texas Wesleyan on March 4, Lewis-Clark State College on Thursday (March 6), William Woods on Friday (March 7) and Texas A&M-Texarkana on Saturday (March 8).
 
LSUA is coming off a 5-2 loss against No. 11 Dillard University.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS WESLEYAN
The Rams are 4-1 on the season and have won four straight matches.
 
In their last outing, they captured a 4-3 victory over Hardin-Simmons University, after taking down Friends University (Kan.) 5-2 on February 28. They also recorded wins over UT Dallas, 5-2, and the University of Dallas, 7-0.
 
Individual statistics are not available for Texas Wesleyan.
 
SCOUTING LEWIS- CLARK STATE
The Warriors are 5-5 on the season and have won their last two matches.
 
They took a pair of matches from the College of Idaho, 7-0 and 4-2, this past weekend.
 
Individual statistics are not available for Lewis-Clark State College.
 
SCOUTING NO. 20 WILLIAM WOODS
The Owls are 1-4 on the year. They earned their first win in a 7-0 sweep over Freed-Hardeman University.
 
Hanna Lindeboom and Mireira Simon Sanchez recorded a 6-1 doubles victory as the top pairing. Zara Littlejohn and Samya Sikand recorded a 6-2 win in the No. 3 Doubles.
 
Lindeboom is currently ranked 13th in the latest ITA NAIA women's tennis singles rankings, recorded a 6-2, 6-1 victory in No. 1 Singles. Simon Sanchez (6-2, 6-3), Kristina Dimitrijevic (7-5, 0-6, (1-0)), Chloe Hecker (609, 601), and Sophia Hausner (6-0, 6-0) all recorded singles victories.
 
SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-TEXARKANA
The Eagles enter the week with a 5-4 record.
 
TAMUT took down Hardin-Simmins in their last outing, 5-4. Prior to that, they had lost two straight matches against Southeastern Oklahoma State (7-0) and Weatherford (4-3).
 
Meghan Connolly has posted a 4-2 singles record and is 2-1 in doubles. Emmanouela Besi (3-3), Andrea Castillo (3-2), and Adrianna Guangko (3-3) have all won three singles matches. Ana Gonzalez sits at 2-4 on the year, while Jalee Young is 1-6.
