PREVIEW | #2 Men's Soccer Takes on #3 Xavier (La.) in RRAC Championship Semifinal

TEXARKANA, TX – The two-seeded Louisiana State University of Alexandria men's soccer team takes on three-seeded Xavier (La.) in the Red River Athletic Conference Championship semifinal.

THE GENERALS
LSUA received a bye through the RRAC Quarterfinal. They posted a 9-1-1 record in RRAC play and earned the two-seed heading into the tournament.
 
The RRAC released its all-conference honored on Friday and the Generals took 12 honors.
 
Damian Kunc and Juan Buitrago earned First Team All-RRAC. Ben McCarron and Rhys Fuller earned All-RRAC Second Team. Paul Adler, Ivan Capurro, and Pablo Dominguez de Leon were named Honorable Mention All-RRAC.
 
Capurro, Diego Cadabon, and Shay Meagher were all named to the RRAC All-Freshman Team and Zac le Stavri was named to the Champions of Character Team.
 
The Generals got the better of XULA in their regular season finale, 2-1. Dominguez scored the equalizer and the game-winning goal.
 
Monday's matchup is a rematch of the 2024 RRAC Championship Semifinal. The Gold Rush captured a 1-0 victory in overtime. This season's win over XULA was the first time LSUA had beat the Gold Rush and are 1-3-1 all-time against XULA.
 
SCOUTING XAVIER (LA.)
The Gold Rush entered the RRAC Championship as the three-seed. They eliminated A&M-Victoria in the quarterfinal with a 1-0 win. They are 7-3-1 in RRAC play.
 
Iman Ouedraogo leads XULA with 13 goals and 10 assists for 36 points. He has scored five game-winning goals. The Gold Rush have scored 34 goals on the season and average 2.62 goals per game.
 
In goal, Brenno Zanolla has started all 17 games in goal. He has allowed 11 goals and posted nine clean sheets with 29 saves.
