ALEXANDRIA, LA- After the 80-78 victory over the Texas College Steers, first year Head Coach, DImario Jackson, has officially led his team to Regular Season Red River Athletic Conference Champions. 
 
In the first half of play the Generals dominated, going into the locker room for halftime with a 42-29 lead.  However, coming into the second half of play the Steers turned up their game, not letting up with a title on the line, and cut the Generals lead making it a 78-78 ball game with just about a minute left to play. After a couple of turnovers, the ball ended up back into the hands of the Generals with 15 seconds left when Isaiah Howard went in for the layup but was met by two Steers defenders missing the layup, however Kashie Natt came in with the game winning put back dunk.
 
Senior, JD Allen led the charge with 22 points, as Natt, McQuillan, and JT Curry also saw double-figures for the Generals.
 
The Generals will wrap up the 2023-2024 season one last time at The Fort on Saturday, February 24^th against the Bulldogs of Jarvis Christian. Come out and support these Generals and send off the seniors in style. Tip-off is at 4:00 PM.
