Texas A&M Texarkana are currently 13-0 at home this season, and sit 2nd place in the Red River Conference. The Generals knew they were in for a tough game, and Texarkana proved to be too strong on this occasion.Â
The Generals came out hot by taking a 4 point lead, but unfortunately it did not last long. Shortly after, Texarkana started to find their rhythm, and managed to keep in front of the Generals for the rest of the game.Â
Jakemin Abney was the points leader for the Generals with 15, and David Brevelle impressed once again by scoring 10 points in just 10 minutes of play. Kashie Natt, JD Allen and Jeremy Richard averaged 11 points between them. Overall, the Generals shot 41% from the field, and 35% from 3-point range. For the opposing team, Tray Spencer stole the show by pouring in 40 points.Â
The Generals will look to bounce back as they take on Louisiana Rivals, the LSU Shreveport Pilots on Tuesday February 7th at the fort. Game time is 7:00pm.Â
