TYLER, TX- The Generals were able to pick up their third consecutive win as they defeated the Steers 80-71.
The win, driven behind
Kashie Natt's 18-point performance, did not come with ease from the Generals.
Despite the Generals hot start in the first half with their largest lead of 10 points up until the 10-minute mark, the Steers were able to create turnovers and force quick shots by the Generals that led them to going on a run.
Texas College went into half-time leading the Generals 35-31.
Once the second half started, it wasn't until there was 9:22 left to play before the Generals were able to regain the lead. From there it was a game of runs by both teams, but the Steers were not able to overcome the gritty Generals.
Jason Perry, who has been trying to find his rhythm after being out due to injury, was able to contribute 15 points to the team's win.
Mitchell Seraille was also able to get into the groove, as he recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Generals will be looking to keep the winning streak alive as they will be taking on the LCU Wildcats back at The Fort on January 17
