LSUA Generals fall short in Derby match against LSUS Pilots.
LSUA Generals (2-1-2) faced the LSUS Pilots in a hard-fought battle. The battle went in favor of the Pilots but the Generals did not stop fighting. The Generals faced heavy adversity when the officials overturned two LSUA goals. The pace of the game changed for the Generals after these calls. Captain and center-back, Keelin Foley, had a few comments on the referees decisions:
"The referee's decision to disallow two of our goals was a tough pill to swallow, but as a team we need to get better when it comes to adversity. Once the decisions went against us we instantly conceded, which deflated our morale, but we are not using it as an excuse for our overall performance."
The Pilots were up 2-0 at half-time. The Generals were not able to catch their rhythm and conceded another goal in the second half making it 3-0. Keelin has faith in his team though, and when asked about heir upcoming performance he stated:
"The key to bouncing back will be to learn from our mistakes, rather than grieve. We have bounced back from bad performances before. I have no doubt we can do it again."
Using this loss to their advantage, by learning more about themselves as a team, the Generals come together again on Saturday. Their match against Texas A&M Texarkana will be at 3:30PM on October 8th at home.Â
